A study published in the Journal of Pain Medicine in January 2014 involved an extensive review of relevant references which included several online databases, independent studies, textbooks, and other printed reference materials dating back to 1966. They concluded there was consistent evidence in all methods used that neuropathic pain is present in chronic LBP and soft-tissue syndromes.
